My only problem with photoshop is that the lines are rather edgy, not smooth like in Paint Tool SAI. And I know it's not me, my tablet or my computer. I also tried using a programm for smoothing the lines, but it's still not as good as SAI and even costs money. Am I the only one struggling like this (when it comes to Lineart with Photoshop, not painting)?
Krita (free painting program) has two kind of stabilizers: one in Freehand Brush Tool (docs.krita.org/Freehand_Brush_… there are three kinds of smoothing) and one is a Dynamic Brush Tool (I prefer this one; docs.krita.org/Dynamic_Brush_T…). You can change tool in Tools docker and change options of the tool in Tool Options docker.
There are also other free alternatives to SAI, like Medibang or FireAlpaca. I don't use them though (I find them a little too limited for my uses). Stabilizers in Krita are probably not as much developed and easy to use as in SAI, because Krita focuses on different kinds of painting, but it is always good to know all options you have, right? So you can try it and find if it suits your needs.
I'm actually really happy with SAI! It's a great programm, better than the ones I've used before. But thanks for the suggestions! I was just wondering if someone had a solution for my Photoshop problem.
uhhhhrrrrr **sigh** Man I wish I had photoshop cuz it has such cool, awesome and amazing brushes. If photoshop was free I would have a blast drawing awesome art like a pro.
Well the art program I now these days is MediBang and I think it's just as good as photoshop but I mostly not sure cuz I've never used photoshop before.
Anyway with all those brushes you make fantastic art.
Awesome! I really like the demonstration art you made with the brushes, more tools that posted here should do that, though I haven't see that much anyway. I'm don't actually use photoshop, since it's kind of too heavy for my rather old notebook, but if I do use it in the future (or if this can be used on more than just photoshop, especially if SAI supports it), I definitely would like to try these!
(From what I found, you can try to make yourself the brush set based on those in photoshop, but not at all an expert there, so I won't try at the moment. Is there a way to actually port them to SAI? Someone somewhere in a github making a converter, I imagine? Apparently there's one for old photoshop to new, and another converter for GIMP)
Here is also my little project to the community, not related with PS, but can be very useful to control your PC/Notebook:
